Well, I think I had better update before I forget everything. Ethan continues to develop very fast. He started commando crawling at about seven months and is really fast! He is into everything and BAD MOMMY popped him on the bed yesterday, i was only next to him but he threw himself right off the edge and has a huge black lump on his head now. I feel terrible but it hasnt taught him a thing, he tried to do it again later on!
He has also been teething and in one week has managed to sprout FOUR teeth. Two bottom middle ones and two at the front right (not his middle top ones yet)! He has been awful, massive nappy expolsions (GROSS) grumpy ALL DAY, sick, not eating and not napping.
He is sleeping quite well, still having his dreamfeed at the moment and has now decided to wake at 5am.... hmm. I have a plan to combat this so will see if it works.
He is also FINALLY sitting up! He hit eight months then suddenly was sitting really well! I think its because he is now trying to pull himself into standing so its a progression towards that for him!
He is cute, funny and very loving. Everyone comments on how smiley he is- he grins all the time!
MUST be better with my updates! Grrr x

More Holiday
Ethan really enjoyed being spoiled rotten by everyone, but with lack of sleep and such hot days it was tough for me. I did adore seeing Nics family though!
Our flights were tough, going out he was ok, napped a bit on and off and we coped ok... however flights back were a little odd...
We queued to come home a Virgin Airways rep was asking for people to not check in and take the same flight tomorrow. We decided we would do this and they gave us free flights (for us all) to anywhere in the world bar Oz to be taken in eighteen months. However it meant Ethan went to bed this night really late and still woke early. So by the time we boarded again the next evening he was already tired. The flight took off at 10.30pm but lights werent turned off until 2.30am SA time. Also the 'Skycots' they use are more like carseats and baby is strapped in. That is fine safety wise but if your baby sleeps on their front you end up with a very grumpy and uncomfortable little one who cant sleep... 11.5 hrs and a short nap or two later we got off the plane VERY tired!
Ah well, maybe next time will be better...

whoops
Sorry its a really long time since I posted! So much has happened!
Well South Africa first:
The Flight out was ok, Ethan slept a little and whinged a bit but wasnt too bad. I didnt get a chance to watch a movie or chill at all but we coped. We hit SA in a heatwave and although we did all we could to keep Ethans/ our room cool he slept really badly. He was waking four or more times a night. He also isnt used to having us in with him and I think that made him worse. Some nights it took ages to resettle him and I was so tired he ended up in bed with us most nights. I think this put a bit of a dampner on the hols for me as I was so tired and grumpy. He did however absolutely LOVE Aleta, Houtie the girls (his cousins) and Nics cousin Lynette. I got a chance to chill and sunbathe while they babysat. We also had some great days out to the Aquarium and to see Penguins and Ethan fell in LOVE with swimming! He just adores the water now!
